Crisp leaves are beginning to fall and a cool breeze can be felt in the air. These signs can only point to one thing: pumpkin patch season! There are plenty of pumpkins to pick in the Reno-Sparks area. Make your way to Andelin Family Farm, Ferrari Farms, Corley Ranch, and Silver Valley Pumpkins to find your gorgeous gourds.
Andelin Family Farm
Andelin Family Farm boasts a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. It all started with the Gaspari family who traveled from Northern Italy and were known for their diligent work ethic. The Andelin family purchased the farm in the early 1980s from the Gaspari family. Although many things have changed over the years, the farm is still home to buildings, barns, and houses that stand as reminders of the days of the Gaspari family.
History is not the only thing you’ll find on this farm. During the fall season, Andelin Family Farm turns into a fall fun extravaganza! Andelin’s Fall Festival Pumpkin Patch includes a wide assortment of pumpkins to choose from that are priced according to variety and weight. Included in the Fall Festival admission ticket are fun activities such as a hay ride, cow train, duck races, sling shooting, hay jumping, hamster wheel, and so much more.
The season wouldn’t be complete without a little scare. Venture through the Corn Creepers path if you dare! This thrilling activity includes walking a trail in the dark paired with appearances from spooky actors that are guaranteed to give you a fright! Andelin Family Farm also has the Zombie Paintball Apocalypse and a Scarecrow Paintball Safari for adventure seekers.
