GEOTHERMAL ENERGY ASSOCIATION
Reno’s leading eco-conscious resort recognized for advancements in geothermal technology

RENO, Nev. (June 8, 2016) – As the only resort in the United States whose heating source is completely provided by geothermal energy produced on the immediate property, Peppermill Resort Spa Casino was recently recognized by the Geothermal Energy Association for its efforts. The resort received a Special Recognition Award as part of the Baseload Renewable Energy Summit on June 7.

Winners were selected for Technological Advancement, Economic Development, and Environmental Stewardship. Additional winners included The University of North Dakota/U.S. Department of Energy, BHE Renewables, Enel Green Power North America, Jay Nathwani of the US Department of Energy, Ormat Technologies, and Governor John Hickenlooper.
