Peppermill's Wedding Specialists have the experience and knowledge necessary to provide a beautiful, flawless event.

Margie McCaffrey

Director of Weddings

Margie began her career with the Peppermill in 2003, working in the Sales/Group Services department. She coordinated events for companies as well as private parties. However, her heart has always been drawn toward wedding planning. Her passion and motivation have been a driving force in the evolution of weddings at the Peppermill and all the unique venues and packages offered for brides, their families and guests. Margie became a Certified Wedding Consultant in 2005, as well as an active board member with Weddings of the West. She is also a certified Honeymoon and Destination Wedding Specialist, as well as a member of the Association for Wedding Professionals International and the National Association of Catering Executives.

Margie has also written feature articles and has been highlighted in publications such as Sacramento Bride, Las Vegas Bride Magazine, The Special Event Magazine, and locally The Reno Gazette Journal, providing brides with insight as well as helpful hints when planning a wedding. Margie is fortunate to be able to attend Special Event and Wedding trade shows and conferences to keep herself and her team current with the “latest and greatest” trends, color schemes and cutting edge ideas. In 2011, Margie was a finalist for a prestigious Gala Award in the category “Private Event, over $1,000 per person”, where she received international recognition.

With the continued support of ownership, management and the success of the department, Margie's goal is to exceed the expectations of brides and grooms with a memorable, unique experience like no other. She is the master at encouraging her brides to think outside the box, when planning their special day. She'll provide personalized service, enthusiasm and sometimes humor to make their dreams come true!

Tonya Simmons

Wedding Manager

Tonya coordinated her first wedding as a favor to her co-worker and “accidentally” fell in love with the wedding industry. After working with hundreds of couples, her favorite moment is with the bride right before she walks down the aisle.  “It’s the most emotional, special moment to me,” Tonya says.  “To be part of one of their most favorite days in their life is a huge responsibility but extremely rewarding.”

Tonya has been a member of the Association for Wedding Professionals International since 2000 and has served on the board of Weddings of the West since 2001. She is also a current member of the National Association of Catering Executives. Tonya enjoys working with her couples; taking their dreams, ideas and budget and putting it to reality with amazing wedding celebrations!

Nicole Parker

Wedding Manager

Nicole coordinated her own fabulous wedding about 8 years ago and got “the wedding bug” so to speak.  Her love for event coordination, design and décor lead her down a path in the event industry.  Her dream job was to plan weddings as a career and is very happy and excited to be a part of the Peppermill Wedding team; doing just that!

Prior to working at the Peppermill, Nicole worked as a marketing and event director; creating all types of events and designs.  She enjoys getting to know her couples, hearing their story and creating an event that is truly unique and reflects the couples’ personality and style. Nicole is an active member of the National Association of Catering Executives and enjoys networking with her peers to find out the “latest and greatest” in wedding planning.

Melody Holland

Wedding Coordinator

Melody has been involved in the wedding industry for the past 3 years. When she planned her own wedding in 2009 she decided that the wedding industry was the perfect fit for her. Her dynamic, bold and charismatic leadership made it easy for brides to seek her out as an advocate and planner in helping them coordinate their perfect day. In early 2010 Melody received a wedding planning certification and started her own wedding coordinating business serving Reno, Tahoe and the surrounding areas. After two years as an independent, Melody decided a change was needed and leapt at the opportunity to work for such an incredible venue like The Peppermill. Having worked with a few previous clients who utilized the Peppermill for their wedding, she knew the caliber of events they produce and wanted very much to be a part of it.

Before her life in the wedding industry, Melody was a clothing buyer and designer and that job taught her all about tracking trends with color, fabrics, details etc,  in all areas including bridal. All of these skills have enhanced her capability of understanding and appreciating weddings down to the very last detail. Melody is so excited to be a part of such a great team, working in an industry that she loves.
